Use of Kalam

Kalam is provided as an assistive communication tool.

Kalam is free to use for individuals, caregivers, families, and support staff for personal communication purposes on devices they control.

You are welcome to share Kalam with anyone who might benefit from it.

Restrictions

Please do not:

  • Sell Kalam, or include it in a paid product or service, without permission
  • Present Kalam as your own, or remove its name or its safety information
  • Describe Kalam as a medical or emergency device, or as a substitute for professional care

No medical use

Kalam does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency alerting.

It is not a substitute for professional medical judgment, supervision, or care.

No warranty

Kalam is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kalam and its creators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the application.

Responsibility

Users and caregivers are responsible for how Kalam is used and for ensuring appropriate supervision and care.
