Local data
Information such as messages, names, and settings is stored locally on your device and stays under your control.
Data loss
If the device is reset, cleared, or lost, this data may be permanently removed.
Exported data
If you export a backup file, it may contain personal or sensitive information. You are responsible for storing and sharing it securely.
Diagnostics export
Kalam captures recent app events (such as speech requests, errors, and service worker activity) in memory so that the caregiver can voluntarily export a diagnostics file when something goes wrong. Nothing is sent automatically. If you choose to export, you control where the file goes and who receives it. The file does not contain message text or dictionary content — only structural identifiers, timings, and error details that help diagnose bugs.
Changes
If privacy practices change in future versions, this page will be updated accordingly.
